The theme for BHM2021 is ‘Proud to be’ and to celebrate the event, we have invited Dr. Elizabeth Williams to guest author this post. Dr Williams is the author of The Politics of Race in Britain and South Africa: Black British Solidarity and the Anti-Apartheid Struggle (2017) and her edited book Nelson Mandela: Pulling the Branch from a Tree!
