The film of the play of the book…

With the cinema release of War Horse this week, it looks like this much format shifted work will have equal success in its latest ‘life’. To accompany the release, Film Education have come up with a very useful website to link the film with topics for students of history, English and media aged 11-14, and PSHE and science teaching with pupils aged 9-11.

As well as the original book, we also have a complete recording of the story read by author Michael Morpurgo available in Curriculum Resources. Michael Morpurgo also hosts his own website with resources relating to his books.

For film enthusiasts in schools I would recommend signing up for Film Education’s mail or RSS alerts – see the bottom of their home page.
