Library Event: “Teachers: from the Revised Code to ‘The Importance of Teaching’”

The Friends of the Newsam Library and Archives are holding a study afternoon on Thursday 26th January 2012 on Teachers: from the Revised Code to ‘The Importance of Teachers’.

12.30pm-1.30pm Professor Gary McCulloch – ‘Teachers and the secret garden of the curriculum’
1.30pm-2.30pm Dr David Crook – Teacher Education in History of Education: retrospect and prospect
2.30pm-3.00pm Break
3.00pm-4.00pm Kathy Baker and Hilary Morris ‘The legacy of the GTC’
4.00pm-5.00pm Past, present and future research: Discussion chaired by Professor Wendy Robinson

Tea and coffee will be available from 11.30am. The event is supported by the Friends of the Newsam Library and Archives and is free to attend. It will be held in the Library Teaching Room.
