EndNote X5 for Windows has just been released with some great new features also summarised in this short video. Enhancements include –
- Automatic transfer of references AND file attachments between desktop EndNote and EndNote Web.
- Viewing and annotating attached PDFs within the library window.
- Automated update to existing library references.
- A new default citation style in Word – Author (Year).
IOE staff can contact the Computing Helpdesk to have the software installed on their machines with a full rollout on the student network planned for the Autumn term.
IOE students and staff can also download/order a personal copy at the usual heavily discounted price. The Mac version will be available in the coming months.
A full programme of training using EndNote X5 will be announced for the Autumn term in due course.
